Week 1: Building Foundation and Understanding
Day 1 - 2: Building Trust and Openness: Begin by journaling your thoughts and emotions. This exercise helps express unspoken feelings and fosters introspection.

Day 3 - 4: Understanding Addiction: Read up on research papers, articles, and books on addiction and its physiological, psychological, and behavioral impacts. Write down any questions or thoughts that arise and discuss them in our coaching sessions.

Day 5 - 7: Identifying Feelings and Emotions: Practice daily mindfulness meditation focusing on recognizing and accepting your emotions. Use a feelings wheel to better understand and articulate your emotions.

Week 2: Enhancing Communication and Setting Boundaries
Day 8 - 10: Enhancing Communication Skills: Practice "I" statements when expressing feelings or concerns to avoid blame and foster constructive discussions. Role-play scenarios to practice these skills.

Day 11 - 14: Establishing Boundaries: Identify your needs and limits. Write them down and discuss how you can communicate them respectfully to your child. Practice these conversations with role-playing exercises.

Week 3: Cultivating Resilience and Emotional Regulation
Day 15 - 17: Fostering Emotional Wellbeing: Integrate a daily mindfulness practice, focusing on acknowledging and accepting your feelings without judgment.

Day 18 - 20: Coping with Negative Emotions: Use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, like thought records, to challenge negative thoughts and emotions.

Day 21 - 23: Building Resilience: Daily practice of gratitude journaling. Note three things each day for which you are grateful, focusing on positive aspects of your life and recovery journey.

Week 4: Strengthening Social Connections and Future Planning
Day 24 - 26: Strengthening Family Bonds: Plan and participate in shared activities, such as family game nights or walks, to strengthen bonds and create positive shared experiences.

Day 27 - 28: Building a Support Network: Identify potential members of your support network, such as friends, relatives, or local support groups. Reach out to them, express your situation (if comfortable), and ask for their support.

Day 29 - 30: Planning for the Future: Develop a long-term action plan for maintaining emotional and social wellbeing. Include a list of healthy coping strategies, potential triggers, and ways to respond to them.

Conclusion
This plan provides parents with a roadmap to navigate their child's recovery journey effectively. By focusing on understanding, communication, emotional wellbeing, and social connections, parents can create a supportive environment conducive to long-term recovery and overall family wellbeing.
