It promotes the well-being and growth of everyone involved. Here is a breakdown of what constitutes a healthy and safe connection and what humans need to avoid loneliness:

Characteristics of a Healthy Connection
  1. Mutual Respect: Each person values the other and shows consideration for their feelings, needs, and interests.
  2. Trust: There is a reliable and consistent sense of safety and dependability in the relationship.
  3. Open Communication: Individuals are able to express themselves freely, honestly, and kindly, and they listen actively to each other.
  4. Empathy and Understanding: Each person tries to understand the other’s perspective and shows compassion towards their experiences and feelings.
  5. Support: There is emotional and, if necessary, practical support available from each person.
  6. Equality: The relationship is balanced, with neither person dominating or being submissive in an unhealthy way.
